Rock Hard Surfacing

About Us

The process used to create a unique and durable surface for your driveway or pathway involves a few different steps

1.

2.

Laying the BaseA base has to be created as a foundation for the finished surface. 1- 2 layers of rock are usually used, with 3 layers necessary for areas receiving heavy traffic.

Once laid, the base is rolled flat and compressed into a solid foundation.

3.

Laying the Top LayerNow that you have a solid foundation, the top layer can be applied. A high end tar and chip product with a specially modified asphalt oil and 100% fractured rockchip is evenly applied and compressed into a solid and durable surface. Our mixture is balanced to bind the two components, effectively ensuring a quality performance product.

This product will not experience tracking due to the modified asphalt oil. It is also flexible and can therefore withstand seasonal movement. The modified oil that is used is odourless and non-flammable with zero volatile organic compounds that do not leach out.
